The domestic hot water coil is a heat exchanger, which can be used to harness the energy of a hot water tank containing pulp water for domestic hot water heating. There is no need for a separate hot water tank, but heating energy can be transferred from the same tank to both domestic hot water heating and the floor or radiator heating network. The size of the hot water coil depends on the tank temperature and the hot water demand. Separate large hot water needs, such as hot tubs, swimming pools or sauna facilities with several showers, must also be taken into account in the planning phase of the book. Combed copper has better heat transfer properties than RST material, so the surface area does not have to be equal.
